- Provide Technical Support (40% of focus):
- Support QA/QC department on technical issues relating to civil / structural infrastructure
- Support maintenance personnel in troubleshooting technically complex issues
- Support maintenance and reliability department in the development of maintenance procedures and plans, and any associated troubleshooting or root cause analysis of failures. Particular areas of practice include, but are not limited to, mechanical and process equipment structures, structural steel and its associated inspection and integrity program, structural vibration and failure, buildings, drainage, erosion mitigation, structural foundations, and concrete structures
- Complete Design, Development and Implementation (30% of focus):
- Conduct structural design and analysis for small installations such as pipe supports, platforms, and basic structural modifications
- Coordinate and/or review design for more extensive or complex designs
- Review and/or develop engineering, drawings and documents in terms of feasibility, standards, codes, and K+S quality specifications
- Work within the Management of Change process
- Manage CAPEX and OPEX projects of a scope in line with this position’s area of technical expertise and/or projects of a defined level of complexity or scope
- Maintain, update, and define K+S Bethune site design specifications and core documents for civil / structural scope
- Define and implement the practices associated with the use and maintenance of structural models
- Coordinate Bethune Structural Integrity Program (30% of focus):
- Develop, maintain, and coordinate the structural steel inspection and integrity monitoring program
- Evaluate new and existing technologies for their applicability to K+S Bethune’s civil / structural infrastructure
- Guide lifecycle planning efforts
- Safe operation of Heavy Equipment
- Operation and monitoring of processing equipment and conveyors
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
- Supporting, coordinating and implementing regulatory, food safety, quality, environmental activities
- Manage and execute continuous improvement projects in coordination with the Engineering Team
- Ensuring the safe and efficient production and shipment of quality product(s) through monitoring plant activities, conducting document review and performing analyses

As the Health & Safety Specialist for the KSPC team, you will provide expertise and support to operations and specifically projects by facilitating the identification of health and safety hazards and controls to eliminate or mitigate these risks.
Reporting to the Inventory Analyst, the Assistant will primarily support Materials Management with daily warehouse functions in addition to the Procurement team to provide a variety of administrative and operational support services.
The Maintenance Civil / Structural Engineer is responsible for general civil / structural design and analysis for the Bethune site.
