Bilingual Analyst, Global Supply Chain

- Provide one central point of contact for analysis of different Supply Chain categories.
- Conduct a variety of analyses such as “Should cost” analytical support, supplier spend trends & analyses and supplier financial risk assessments.
- Develop strategy and consulting by focusing on supplier engagement/management, industry trends and category management, internal IAMGOLD practices and emerging technologies.
- Support the negotiation process with factual-based information.
- Develop a competitive event strategy.
- Conduct market intelligence to in order to remain aware of emerging trends.
- Track M&A, earnings announcements, and ongoing supplier assessments.
- Work with Site Managers to optimize inventory levels to reduce financial risk to the business.
- Identify inventory optimization opportunities through analytics and best practices.
- Contribute to the S&OP supply review process by providing key risk drivers to the operational plans.
- Work closely with Logistics to optimize smooth flow of inventory.
- Ensure all contracts are complete and properly executed.
- Utilize existing and help develop new Sourcing Tools to sustain cost reduction initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or Supply Chain.
- Between 3-5 years of related work experience.
- Previous experience in mining or construction industry is preferred.
- Practical experience building financial and other analytical models to evaluate complex data.
- Ability to manage relationships and interact with various vendors.
- Effective communication skills.
- Bilingual-French & English
- Comfortable and effective in working in teams and across functional groups that vary from fundamentally technical to non-technical.
- Demonstrated capability in managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering against tight deadlines.
- Superior negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Design and supervision of construction of geotechnical and hydrological structures such as foundations, slopes, excavations, diversion ditch, and dams;
- Investigation of ground instabilities and recommending and designing mitigation measures
To purchase materials, goods, and services for all operations, maintenance, and support functions.
To provide safe and cost-effective survey services, by way of design, plans, and measurement data that communicate critical mining instructions to operators and development results to engineers.
To provide administrative support and ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the mill office and related activities.
The purpose of the Mine Road Supervisor is to ensure all site service roads are maintained year round.
The purpose of the Supervisor Mine is to supervise the mine crew and ensure production targets and schedules are met as forecast.
The Senior Mining Engineer takes part in the development of economic studies of mining projects (approach, prefeasibility, feasibility).
To ensure optimization of the Mill process is maintained through effective management and technical support to the Operations group as well as external support groups including Mine Technical Services and Mine Operations.
As a member of the Global Supply Chain (GSC), the analyst will utilize your abilities to provide actionable recommendations to the leaders of the organization.
This position is responsible to manage all maintenance activities including; safety, execution, personnel, budget, planning and continuous improvement.
