Analyze credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money. Prepare reports with credit information for use in decision making.
 
The Opportunity
 
  • Review new customer credit applications and determine credit worthiness of applicants based on credit data and other relevant financial information provided whether by the applicant or credit rating agencies 
  • Designate degree of risk involved in extending credit by performing cash flow analysis of businesses
  • Ensure all approved applications comply with the Company’s credit criteria / Stay current in all aspects of analyzing and setting credit lines
  • Review and increase credit limits, as appropriate
  • Analyze accounts that have exceeded their credit limit and make decision to hold account or process order
  • Release orders that were held for credit, as appropriate
  • Develop and monitor policies and processes to mitigate the risks associated with granting credit (asset securitization, etc.)
  • Assist the Credit Manager in the preparation of a quarterly bad debt provision
  • Work with the sales group to ensure that their needs are met from a Credit perspective
  • Resolves customer issues/complaints referred by management and first line supervisors relating to credit lines and payment terms
 
The Candidate
 
  • Education: College diploma in Accounting or a related field required; University degree in Accounting or a related field an asset
  • Work Experience: 3-5 years high volume corporate collections experience, CCP designation an asset . Strong attention to detail, goal oriented. Commitment to excellent customer service
  • Knowledge: Intermediate knowledge of MS office (especially excel). Bilingual: English & French. Basic knowledge of accounting including account reconciliation.

Shipper/Receiver

Responsible for the safe flow of industrial goods in and within the branch or warehouse. 

Machinist

Working inside a large (33,000 square foot) general machine shop. Responsible for rebuilding hydraulic cylinder components (core business), rebuilding attachments for construction/forestry machinery and rebuilding sawmill and planer mill components.
