Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities
 
Objectives:
 
  • Understands and supports sales policies and procedures to provide effective customer service
  • Provides pricing and parts availability, as well as relevant product information to internal and external customers; responding within customer specified deadlines
  • Converses with customers regularly to receive sales orders or troubleshoot issues
  • Works with various internal departments to resolve customer inquiries
  • Resolves issues with customers directly; liaison between manufacturing, engineering and customer
  • Follows customer orders to completion to ensure on-time delivery
  • Scans and properly files orders received
  • Performs data entry of customer orders, maintaining associated customer records
  • To provide exceptional customer service

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications
 
Education and/or Experience:  
High school diploma or GED with one year experience in inside sales or customer service account management, as well as data entry skills.
 
Language Skills:  
Ability to read prints and drawings.  Excellent verbal and communication skills.  Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers to help solve issues, as well as provide pertinent product information regarding the ordering process.  Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers.
 
Mathematical Skills: 
Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.  Ability to calculate percentages and lead times of product and parts availability.
 
Reasoning Ability: 
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
 
Computer Skills: 
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to effectively demonstrate use of Microsoft Office Suite and Lotus Notes.  Position requires use of order processing systems.
 
Other Qualifications: 
Exceptional interpersonal skills are critical. Self-starter, able to work with cross-functional teams. Strong time management skills that require little supervision. Ability to work under deadlines and focus on multiple projects with minimal supervision.  Ability to prioritize workload to meet changing business needs.  Individual should have the ability to adapt and work effectively with a variety of situations and personalities.  Must be able to maintain integrity, confidentiality and professional maturity.

Carries out rubber lining and hose making processes according to standard safety procedures. Fabricates and process metal and rubber components in accordance with specified instructions. 

Account Manager-Capital Projects

Reporting to the Sales Manager-Projects for the designated region, the Sales Engineer is responsible for developing and managing specific key accounts and Engineering Firm customers, while meeting sales objectives and identifying new business opportunities for Weir Minerals’ entire portfolio within the designated geographic territory.

Rubber Product Manager

The Rubber Product Manager is responsible for the implementation of Weir Mineral’s Rubber Products strategy in Canada and aligning their application with WMC’s Integrated Solutions strategy. 

CNC Machinist

Sets up and operates conventional, special purpose, machining centers to fabricate high speed precision ground metallic parts and components with tight tolerances and exotic materials.

Material Handler

To ensure timely and accurate movement of all products in and around the facility.

Field Engineer

The Field Engineer’s role will be to technically support our key oil sands customers. 

Handlay Supervisor

Reporting to the Production Manager of the Fabrication Shop, the selected candidate will supervise workers engaged on the afternoon shif.

Buyer

Perform duties required to provide strategically source and procure a wide variety of technical and non-technical materials and services from suppliers worldwide to support customer requirements.
