Job Responsibilities:
The Geotechnical Lab in our BC Region is currently look for an Administrator to join their team. The Group provides a variety of technical services including geotechnical engineering, construction review and laboratory testing services to many different markets and clients throughout British Columbia.
 
Responsibilities include:
* Tracking and reporting on all laboratory financials.
* Daily management and coordination in scheduling lab testing and time lines for lab testing completion.
* Management of lab technicians’ workload and assisting with annual performance reviews.
* Assist in coordination of lab work in all locations within the BC Region.
* Data entry for lab testing (excel based) and of lab results and reporting (templates) as workload permits.
* Support the Group Manager as required.
* Checking on progress of lab projects.
* Preparing truck usage reports and invoices for accounting.
* Lead by example with a high commitment to health and safety standards, including completion of supporting documentation and compliance audits.

 
Job Requirements

The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
* At least 5 years of experience in project coordination or administration.
* Solid understanding of financial tracking and analysis.
* Excellent Microsoft application skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project.
* Proven exceptional work-ethic, self-motivated, and highly driven.
* Ability to lead and motivate a team.
* Good verbal communication and writing skills are essential.
* Detail-oriented, with an emphasis on quality of work.
