DSP and Artificial Intelligence Engineer

The Artificial Intelligence team at Rajant is seeking a DSP engineer with a strong background in statistical signal processing. Along with, a demonstrated experience designing and implementing statistical signal processing algorithms including Kalman FIlters and Adaptive filters (RLS), as well as, traditional signal processing experience in developing filters in the time and frequency domain.
 
Experience with sensor fusion for IMU and a strong background with associated physics of rotating reference frames (e.g., Euler angles, Quaternions) is highly desirable. A background in deep learning/AI is a huge plus. The candidate will need to pass a technical screening.
 
You will be working within a small world-class AI team to rapidly develop a cutting-edge AI-based health platform and associated wearable device. You will report directly to the VP of AI and will work closely with him in developing these DSP algorithms.
 
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
 
This position requires the candidate to have direct industry or equivalent experience implementing statistical signal processing algorithms. The candidate will be comfortable rapidly researching, implementing, and developing deep learning, machine learning, and statistical processes against business requirements. In addition, the candidate will be comfortable partnering with various business lines to translate business analytic problems into technical solutions and actionable recommendations across the organization.
 
Required Experience:
 
  • Statistical Signal Processing as applied to sensor fusion for IMU
  • Kalman Filters
  • Adaptive Filtering (RLS)
  • Understanding of underlying physics and mathematics of rotations and rotated reference frames including Euler Angles and Quaternions
  • Design of optimized higher-order filters for noise removal
  • Matlab
  • C/C++
 
Desirable Experience:
 
  • Advanced physics background
  • Motion artifact removal
  • Experience in major machine learning frameworks: Pytorch, Scikit-Learn, Tensorflow, Pandas, SparkML
  • Background in basic machine learning techniques including supervised, unsupervised & deep learning
  • Gaussian Process Regression
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while also participating in a highly collaborative team environment to achieve desired results
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage assignments on multiple projects, in a fast-changing technical environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute quickly on an aggressive startup schedule for product development
 
Education & Experience:
 
Graduate degree (MSEE or Ph.D.) in electrical engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or related computational fields from an accredited university or equivalent practical experience specializing in Artificial Intelligence & machine learning. 5+ years experience with a proven track record in machine learning or deep learning & software engineering.
