Electronics Test Technician

• Accomplish Testing workflow by following daily work schedule
• Perform complex electronic and software tests in accordance with defined procedures or guidelines while working with exposed voltages up to 2000V AC and/or DC.
• Assist in creating, documenting, and/or updating test procedures
• Follow and improves R&D and test processes. Document and/or maintain pertinent engineering / Test records.
• Assist in the assembly and/or maintenance of test fixtures, load banks, and other components associated with product / PCB testing.
• Provide support to engineering staff as needed.
• Process Engineering Change Orders (ECO’s) under the direction of engineers or Test Dept. Manager.
• Cleaning, Repair, and testing of RMA & New product when applicable.
• Participate in maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and ability required.

• Associate’s degree in Electronics technology or equivalent based on academic credentials evaluation, training and/or experience

• One year experience as an Electronics Test Technician or related, with strong capability in electrical test

• Working knowledge of analog and digital electronics and electronic circuits
• Ability to read Printed Circuit Board schematics & identify function of circuit design
• Familiarity with modern test equipment
• Must be able to successfully pass Saminco’s Basic Electronic Exam
• Experience using common electronic test equipment
• Practical knowledge of 3-phase power systems
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and associated applications
