Panoramic Resources Ltd is an established Western Australian Nickel Sulphide producer with two profitable, wholly owned and operated underground operations; the Savannah Nickel Project 120kms north of Halls Creek in the Kimberley, and the Lanfranchi Nickel Project 42kms south of Kambalda.
Savannah Nickel Mines is seeking to employ an Environmental Officer to complete environmental monitoring and reporting for the Savannah and Copernicus projects.
In this role, you will be required to:
• Undertake environmental monitoring;
• Data collation for reporting for internal and external purposes;
• Prepare accurate, competent reports for internal and external reporting;
• Support to comply and continually improve environmental performance; and
• Assist in compliance with co-existence agreement initiatives.
Reporting to the Environmental Superintendent, Applicants should possess/demonstrate the following attributes, qualifications and experience:
• 1-2 years' experience in an Environmental Officer position or equivalent (Mining or similar industry desirable);
• Experience in surface and ground water monitoring;
• Data collation for reporting both internally and externally;
• Assistance with development and implementation of the environmental management system;
• High standard of literacy skills for reporting and development of management systems;
• Land management and GIS skills preferable; and
• Sound analytical skills and preferable chemistry knowledge.
Successful candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment medical. As well as this you must have attention to detail and a can-do attitude with a willingness to learn.
