Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

- Assist current students with functioning effectively as learners by providing short-term counselling support with a strong focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Assist and lead students with equity, diversity and/or inclusionary challenges individually or with group sessions
- Identify strengths and gaps in student service delivery in a post secondary environment
- A Master’s degree or PhD in Social Work or Psychology. (A copy of educational documents must be submitted with application *** education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES or ICAS with their application)
- Experience working with marginalized adults by applying a lens of equity, diversity and inclusion in a post secondary environment.
- Current membership in good standing with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
- Three years of current and relevant occupational experience with a focus on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.
- Must have an in-depth understanding of personal, social, and educational challenges that affect postsecondary student life and learning.
- Background experience must include a supervised clinical practicum at the graduate level and a working knowledge of counselling theory, human development, assessment, and counselling practice.
- Experience in evidence-based models of therapy, including DBT, CBT, peer-to-peer counselling, and mental health resiliency and transition.
- Ability to provide crisis intervention, consultation, and referral services.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the ability to be an effective role model.
- Excellent computer software skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Effective critical thinking and organizational skills and the ability to function effectively within a team environment.
- Counselling experience at the secondary or postsecondary level.
- Educational documents - WES/ICAS Equivalence if degrees/diplomas are from a Non-Canadian University
- Registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
Cambrian College’s Schools of Health Sciences, Nursing, and Emergency Services requires Massage Therapy Clinic Technologists on temporary basis beginning September 2021.

Cambrian College’s Schools of Health Sciences, Nursing, and Emergency Services has an immediate requirement for an individual to work, on temporary part-time basis, as an evening Receptionist in the Dental Clinic.
Cambrian College’s School of Business requires part-time Professors to teach the following courses within the International Business Management - Graduate Certificate program beginning May 2021.
Cambrian College’s Glenn Crombie Centre for Student Support requires a part-time Counsellor with a strong focus on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion beginning April 2021 until April 2022.
