The purpose of the Accounting Student role is to provide support to the Accounting Team at Evolution Mining Red Lake Operation.
 
  • Roster: 4 days on / 3 day off – 10.5 hour shifts

The Accounting Student role offers an exceptional opportunity to learn about Accounting functions in the mining industry.
 
Key result areas in this role include:
 
  • Assist with Accounts Payable functions
  • Match warehouse issues to invoices for contractors
  • Filing of Invoices and other documents
  • Other duties as assigned

Our Red Lake Operation is located in an area where you will experience the best in Northern lifestyle, in the heart of a lake-studded, boreal forest region in Sunset Country. Red Lake is known for its natural beauty, abundant wildlife, and incredible Canadian fishing in the many freshwater lakes in the area. The Red Lake district is located 180 kilometers north of Dryden about 100 kilometers from the Manitoba border in Northwestern Ontario, Canada. It spans 42,000 hectares and has produced over 29 million ounces of gold since 1949. Our Red Lake Operation includes the Red Lake and Campbell underground mining and processing complexes, and Cochenour, a potential new source of ore. As Evolution’s newest asset and our first in North America, we are excited by the opportunities here.

About you
 
As an Accounting Student, you will have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma. It is also important that you have/ can demonstrate:    
 
  • You will be enrolled in a Business or Accounting related post-secondary program in Fall 2021
  • Strong numeric skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Cooperative, flexible
  • Displays initiative and motivation

Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, the Mine Geologist role will focus on the implementation and improvement of geological processes, predominately focusing on underground, with the opportunity to collaborate and support our open pit team. 

Group Manager - Business Development

The Group Manager, Business Development role is a key member of a small but highly effective Business Development team and it is expected that you will be comfortable working across all aspects of a project as well as being able to work with and influence senior stakeholders through periods of transition and growth.

Integrated Planning Manager

Reporting to the General Manager, you will develop and execute projects to meet the site’s strategic business plans and safe production goals.
