The Sourcing Department is responsible for the management of inventory levels to ensure that products are available when needed to satisfy the plant and customer requirements. The Expeditor is responsible for the planning and procurement of products to minimize obsolescence and overstock situations while achieving maximum customer service levels.  Expediting the product, once it has been purchased, helps secure the quality and timely delivery of goods creating a reliable supply chain for BDI plants to take pride in and to keep customer’s projects on time and within budget. 
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Prompt 8-5 M-F schedule
  • Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks
  • Facilitates and expedites the flow of materials
  • Readily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned area
  • Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution
  • Supplier creation, maintenance, and performance monitoring
  • Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures
  • Review of purchase orders to be sure they are confirmed
  • Must be team oriented with moderate degree of supervision
  • Deals directly with vendors to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of goods to appropriate locations
  • Refers complex unusual problems to supervisor or another team member
  • Various project work
 
Education & Experience:
 
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1 - 2 years related experience preferred
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with sense of urgency and an emphasis on customer satisfaction
  • Ability to comprehend and accurately process paperwork in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Must demonstrate expertise with Microsoft office products with a heavy emphasis on Excel
  • Flexibility/adaptability coupled with good multi-tasking skills
  • Positive ‘can-do’ demeanor
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with SAP preferred

The Warehouse Representative is responsible for maintaining all aspects that relate to the duties within a warehouse, such as shipping and receiving, stock takes, deliveries and pickups.

The Belt Technician will perform a variety of duties to customize heavy duty belts and rubber components to customer specifications. 

Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate records of supplier invoices and accounts, as well as the proper assignments of disbursements to the appropriate cost center.
