Duties and Responsibilities
 
  • Supervise day to day operations of the Fabrication shop, manage the staff, assignment of work, and quality of job completion;
  • Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans, adjusting as necessary due to material availability, and personnel;
  • Ensure production is completed on a timely basis;
  • Follow CWB welding procedures;
  • Ability to delegate responsibilities and individual projects;
  • Oversee and ensure that all safety rules are being followed at all times;
 
Job requirements
 
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Fabrication Shop;
  • Able to read and interpret advanced engineering drawings;
  • Knowledge of steel, iron and other raw material;
  • Able to obtain CWB Supervisor certificate;
  • Strong leadership and communication skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work safely and in compliance with the company policies and the Occupational Health and Safety Act;
  • Ability to work 40-hours per week: 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday;
