Summary
 
We are now looking for one Field Service Engineer for Automation/Analysers to join the Service team in Canada.
The position is based in Canada to support customers across the country. 
 
FSE Automation Key Duties and Responsibilities
 
•    Site work activities in Metso:Outotec Analyzer Installed Base, Particle Size Analysers (PSI)  and Elemental Analysers (Courier).
•    Installation and commissioning of systems, machinery and associated spare parts and wear material components.
•    Perform technical evaluations and analyse equipment and machine component failures.
•    Promote products and services to customers.
•    Promote the sales of OEM spare parts and wears material components.
•    Following technical instructions and routines provided by product lines for installation and troubleshooting.
•    Support warranty process and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) where applicable.
•    Prepare site reports, time sheets and expenses after site visits.
•    Trigger maintenance of CRM with Eq. operational information. Link Service Reports to equipment information in the Installed base.
•    Identify equipment in the field at the customer site that is not in our installed base, trigger data basic data input into CRM.
 
Qualifications
 
•  Education/Training; Applicable Engineering/Technology Degree or related experience working with Metso:Outotec equipment preferably in field service and/or field installation and commissioning, or equivalent contract management or service related experience
•  At least five (5) years applicable industry and product experience
•  Solid knowledge base in services and aftermarket business, the mining and construction industry and its customers
•  Must be able to read and understand basic prints/drawings to ensure accuracy of work performed
•  Strong customer service / customer satisfaction capabilities
•  A high level of computer skills is essential.
•  Capable of effectively and accurately working on several projects at one time, organizing and prioritizing tasks, and working in a fast-paced environment
•  Must maintain a current and valid driver’s license and passport.

•    Various technology, maintenance and services understanding. 
•    Willingness to participate in medical evaluation and D&A testing, as this is sometimes required in order to work/access certain customer sites.
•    Willingness and desire to continuous learning.
•    Understanding customer needs and business to the level of being able to demonstrate and sell value.
•    Good written communication and presentation skills.
•    Bilingual (English and French) is an asset.
 
Additional information
 
Electrical and/or mechanical automation background will help you to succeed in this role.
Understanding of MS Windows environment and the ability to utilize other devices/platforms is essential.
Linux and PLC knowledge is desirable

Travel
 
The nature of this job will require a willingness to travel, as our installed base is spread throughout the Country, and continues to grow.
 
Travel frequency can vary from one to five (sometimes more) customer visits per month, ranging from one day to two weeks per visit.
 
With the support of a coordinator, you will be require to plan and organize customer site visits. This includes, but is not limited to, renting vehicles, booking airline tickets, making room reservations, etc. As with all Metso Outotec employees, you must be able to pay for all travel related expenses, which will be reimbursed in full when said expenses have been claimed in accordance to Metso:Outotec's expense policy.
