- Act as subject matter expert in directional drilling and other means of underground exploration.
- Responsible for the design and coordination of underground exploration diamond drilling activities, including but not limited to hole layouts, scheduling, procurement of materials.
- Provide comprehensive geologic input to the mine planning and operations departments to support short and long term plans.
- Conduct daily underground geology work including but not limited to lithological mapping, structural mapping, drill core logging, sampling, and inspection of underground openings.
- Collect ground penetrating radar (GPR) data from mining areas and input into geological model.
- Keep aware of industry best practices and new technologies to improve overall safety and efficiency of the operation.
- Assist with rock mechanics measurements and installation of rock mechanics instrumentation.
- Maintain and update AutoCAD drawings as required.
- Manage a geological model compiling all underground exploration activities.
- Coordinate exploration requirements with all stakeholders such as the engineering, operations, and maintenance departments.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geological Engineering or Geology.
- Registered, or eligible to register, as a Professional Geoscientist or G.I.T. with PGO.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of underground mining experience or soft rock experience would be considered an asset.
- Proven experience with management of underground diamond drills and directional tools.
- Prior experience with 3D modelling software, geological database software, mapping software.
- Knowledge with Vulcan, Leapfrog, ArcGIS, Deswik, or other mining software packages would be considered an asset.
- Computer proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.

Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment in a the mine.
This role functions with a high degree of autonomy and reports directly to the Manager, Mine Development, within the Mine Engineering department.
As a strategic partner, the HR Business Partner aligns business objectives with employees and management at the Canadian manufacturing facilities, and serves as a consultant to the local management teams on Human Resource related issues.
This position is primarily responsible to support Capital Sourcing for the Canadian Business Units.
The person in this position is primarily responsible for the development, implementation and management of the Environmental Health and Safety Management System at the Goderich Mine.
Responsibilities encompass operations, capital and financial reporting including variance analysis.
Following the mine plan, the Mining Supervisor is accountable for the safe, efficient and quality of work performed by the Mining Team.
