This person is responsible for full operational management and P&L ownership of a Branch or multiple Branches within assigned District. This position will help lead and drive incremental profitable growth for the Branch or District. 
 
Detailed Description
 
  • Responsible for key marketing areas, establishing branch/district marketing direction, supplier selection, new product introduction, sales promotions, pricing policies, key customer contact, and Global accounts.
  • May oversee branch managers in hiring, deploying, and managing outside salespersons to provide coverage of total district geographic market segments while assuring adequate potential for individual territory development. Develops, implements, and adjusts branch/district sales plan designed to increase market penetration.
  • Conducts weekly/monthly/quarterly reviews with branch/district personnel to focus on performance against objectives and provide coaching and motivation to achieve objectives.
  • Develops sales staff through coaching, formal training and informal training. Ensures adequate delegation of authority to subordinates. Will clearly define objectives and deliverables for team.
  • Develops and maintains cooperative relationships with select suppliers. Ensures district/branch is taking an active role in negotiating customer costs, lower costs and other financially impactful benefits from key suppliers.
  • Manages coordination of purchasing within branch/district with emphasis on preferred suppliers.
  • Plans, develops, and implements specific actions and programs in accordance with management sales plan.
  • Makes sales calls to specific customers and principals of key accounts to foster growth and ensure adequate coverage, penetration and customer service.
  • Establishes and controls pricing levels while implementing policies and programs to improve margins.
  • Guides managers in the selection, hiring, development, promotion, demotion and dismissal of employees.
  • Ensures timely completion of Corporate initiatives by managers and employees
  • Assists financial services with exercising policies pertaining to extension of credit, collection of accounts receivable, attainment of acceptable days outstanding, and minimization of potential losses.
  • Develops and implements plans to provide premium customer service and to review performance against objectives regularly.
  • Identifies market potential by industry and updates annually.
 
Job Requirements
 
EXPERIENCE:
 
  • Business and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessments, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer and time management skills
  • Strong sales ability, financial aptitude, leadership and people skills
 
EDUCATION:
 
  • High School Degree or Equivalent required.
  • Bachelors’ Degree preferred.
 
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
 
The ability to develop and interact with core suppliers to deliver incremental profitable revenue growth.
 
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
 
General Office – Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
 
  • Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time.
  • Employee required to sit and drive a vehicle to perform their job.

OUTSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE

The function of the Account Representative is to secure new business revenue, protect company margin objectives and meet / exceed activity targets on a consistent basis.

WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE

This person is responsible for accurately performing assigned warehouse tasks including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, wire cutting, light assembly, as well as housekeeping of assigned areas.
