Valard is currently seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to work on various sites in the Swift Current/Kindersley, SK area.
 
Requirements
 
  • Wear PPE at all times
  • Follow all legislation and regulations set out by the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Valard Policies & Standard Operating Procedures
  • Perform pre-mobilization & site equipment inspections as required
  • Perform general housekeeping to ensure equipment is clean and operating properly
  • Ensure all daily task reporting requirements are fulfilled
  • Work as a member of the team by assisting others when required
  • Complete client site-specific training as required
  • Ability to communicate effectively with managers, peers, and clients
  • Ability to operate equipment independently and safely
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Occasional manual heavy lifting of 75 lbs. or less
 
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
 
  • Class 1A license
  • First Aid (considered an asset)
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
  • Must have and maintain a clean driver’s abstract
  • Must be able to work on a crew
  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 75 pounds), working at heights, in confined spaces and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, etc.)
  • Experience operating a Hydro Vac would be considered an asset
  • Experience operating a dozer would be considered an asset
 

Labourer with Class 5 License

Reporting to the crew foreman this position has minimal experience in Telecommunications/ Construction. 

Heavy Duty Equipment Technician

Valard is currently seeking a Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician (Mechanic) to maintain vehicles in our Timmins Location.

Hydrovac Swamper/Labourer Position

Reporting to the Collaborative Services Manager, the Hydrovac Swamper will be responsible for safe operation of the hydrovac unit as directed by the Valard Hydrovac Operator.

Experienced Hydrovac Operator

Reporting to the Collaborative Services Manager, the Hydrovac Operator will be responsible for safe operation and daily maintenance of the hydrovac units. 

Utility Person

Supporting a variety of job functions, the employee is responsible for performing the day to day manual tasks on the project. 

Journeymen Powerline Technician
  • Red Seal Distribution Lineman
  • Minimum 6 years distribution experience
  • Living in Toronto Area would be an asset
