Carries out rubber lining and hose making processes according to standard safety procedures. Fabricates and process metal and rubber components in accordance with specified instructions. 
 
Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities
 
Including but not limited to:
 
  • Interprets drawings, sketches and other written instructions to fabricate metal components as required
  • Operates machines including drill press, band saw, lathe and roller to shape and form metal and rubber
  • Under general direction, prepare pipes, tanks, and other vessels for application of rubber lining by rolling or painting interior surfaces and ensuring the sandblasting has been completed appropriately
  • Apply rubber to the interior surfaces by following instructions, drawings and sketches
  • Uses a layout table to accurately layout components according to the specified tolerances on a blueprint drawing
  • Other duties may be assigned

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications
 
Education and/or Experience:
  • Has attained a High School diploma. The ideal incumbent would also have additional education or experience as a millwright, fabricator, or another related trades diploma.
  • As an entry-level apprentice, it would be beneficial to have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.                             
 
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
 
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
 
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
 
Other Skills:
Must have thorough knowledge of reading and understanding blueprints as well as knowledge of measurement tools (e.g. tape measure, square, calipers). Ability to read and understand welding procedures and use them in practical application.
 
Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
 
Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions, particularly extreme heat during summer months. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Personal Protective Equipment is required including steel toed boots, welding helmet, and safety glasses.

Account Manager-Capital Projects

Material Handler

To ensure timely and accurate movement of all products in and around the facility.

Field Engineer

The Field Engineer’s role will be to technically support our key oil sands customers. 

Handlay Supervisor

Reporting to the Production Manager of the Fabrication Shop, the selected candidate will supervise workers engaged on the afternoon shif.

Buyer

Perform duties required to provide strategically source and procure a wide variety of technical and non-technical materials and services from suppliers worldwide to support customer requirements.

Customer Service Rep - Inside Sales I

Provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers; receives and verifies orders for Weir products.

Applications Engineer

As part of our sales departments, the Application Engineer will work collaborative with internal departments and external stakeholders to support business development, sales of products and aftermarket services, while ensuring that customer requirements are met.
