Human Resources Coordinator (Fixed-Term)

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our Human Resources team in Sudbury. This is a 12 month fixed-term position.
 
The HR Coordinator is primarily responsible for the coordination and administration of day to day support and analysis duties related to the Human Resource functions within the Ontario Operations (or across the North Atlantic operations).
 
The HR Coordinator maintains the Ontario HR plan including meeting minutes, action items, calendar of events, status of improvements/kaizens, and HR performance reporting.
 
The HR Coordinator carries out responsibilities in all of the following areas: maintain HR KPIs, CBA and people metrics, Power BI and Headcount reporting, third party contingent worker system improvements and reporting, people integrated cycle reporting, vacation carry forward / payout reporting, exit interview reporting, probationary review tracking and reporting, shift premium / schedule audits for staff, AIP and merit file validation, employee survey administration,  seniority reporting, temp staff and designated individual reporting, Ontario HR intranet maintenance,  assisting with internal budget reporting and tracking, and other duties as assigned by the Manager, HR.
 
About You
 
  • 6 to 18 months of experience in a similar subject area required
  • Community college degree required
  • Post-secondary program of study related to human resources management, business administration, or a related field. Other combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Focal point for the maintenance and administration of Ontario HR performance and People metric reporting.
  • Participate in HR routines and coordinate / track the ON HR plan including meeting minutes, action item reporting, prioritization of work, HR performance etc.
  • Establishes effective data analytics to support HR team in root cause analysis.
  • Ontario focal point for HR system changes (ex. People Integrated Cycle Changes, merit, AIP)
  • Maintain third party contingent worker system and reporting (workflow, secondee tracking, forms and templates).
  • Assist with the implementation of services, policies, and programs through HR.
  • Proactively identifies, problem solves and escalates opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Establishes and maintains HR file management best practices
  • Coordinates rewards and recognition programs within Ontario Operations (ex. Retirement watches).
