General Superintendent, Mill Maintenance

- Operate systems and direct, assess, and control mechanical activities to maximize availability and control costs.
- Planning activities and other system data are maintained to establish best work practices while providing maximum availability.
- Objectives, targets, and standards are established and effectively communicated to mechanical personnel.
- Coordinate planning and execution group’s activities and objectives.
- Ensure each critical asset has a life cycle management plan.
- Ensure maintenance work is carried out in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner.
- Set Maintenance budget using information from the overall budget and business plan targets.
- Encourages and promotes continuous improvement at all levels.
- Develops and analyses new working methods in order to increase efficiency, reduce costs, reduce the risk of accidents, and improve environmental management and the quality of work done.
- Contribute to the management team to set the direction and establish the mid-to-long-term operations and project development plans for the Mill production department
- Provide advice to the Manager, Mill regarding the development and implementation of the Mill Maintenance budget.
- Observes and analyses Maintenance Key Performance Indicators. Reports to the Manager, Mill and does necessary adjustments in order to meet and exceed objectives.
- Ensure the organizational chart is in line with guidelines for proactive maintenance organization.
- Ensure that personnel is adequately trained and equipped to perform all assigned duties which will establish a platform for succession planning.
- Reinforce the set behavior model for the mechanical personnel and the significant impacts of their work activities including environment and the benefits of improved personal performance.
- Perform audits to ensure repairs and equipment meet IAMGOLD and regulatory equipment standards.
- Performs audits to ensure all critical assets are in the system, all critical activities are in the system, with routings, BOM, and PM schedules.
- Performs audits to ensure all necessary means are given to employees from the work order management system, confirming the planning department's effectiveness.
- Coordination of activities between various departments is effective and efficient.
- University degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related degree or Trades certification.
- Minimum of 10 years Engineering, or Planning related experience.
- Minimum of 3 years at a Senior Superintendent supervisory level.
- Oracle eAM experience would be an asset.
- Strong understanding and ability to work cross-culturally.
- Excellent verbal and written English. Dutch language an asset.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Excellent decision making, problem solving, and priority setting skills.
- Design and supervision of construction of geotechnical and hydrological structures such as foundations, slopes, excavations, diversion ditch, and dams;
- Investigation of ground instabilities and recommending and designing mitigation measures

The purpose of the Mine Road Supervisor is to ensure all site service roads are maintained year round.
The purpose of the Supervisor Mine is to supervise the mine crew and ensure production targets and schedules are met as forecast.
The Senior Mining Engineer takes part in the development of economic studies of mining projects (approach, prefeasibility, feasibility).
To ensure optimization of the Mill process is maintained through effective management and technical support to the Operations group as well as external support groups including Mine Technical Services and Mine Operations.
As a member of the Global Supply Chain (GSC), the analyst will utilize your abilities to provide actionable recommendations to the leaders of the organization.
This position is responsible to manage all maintenance activities including; safety, execution, personnel, budget, planning and continuous improvement.
