Provide Senior Production Geologist services to operations, addressing both underground and open pit requirements, along with providing leadership within the Geology Department. You will be responsible for the supervision of production geologists and the day-to-day activities, systems, and processes around definition drilling (planning, tracking, core logging and interpretation), grade control and geological direction, database management, assay lab QA/QC, and geological/structural mapping, interpretation and 3D modeling. You will provide support in the estimation of mineral resources. You will assist in providing, updating, and supervising industry standard documentation of Standard Operation Processes for Production Geology.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Provide Production Geologist services as designated by the Chief Geologist.
  • Direct underground beat and pit geology personnel, as required.
  • Lead and assist in the planning and execution of mapping, sampling and grade control practices (underground and open pit).
  • Lead and assist in the planning and execution of definition/delineation resource/reserve conversion drilling programs and analysis of drilling results as designated by the Chief Geologist.
  • Process layouts and block plans, including sign off.
  • Train and mentor less experienced mine production staff in mapping, diamond drilling, grade control, 3D data analysis, geological modeling, resource modeling, reconciliation programs and practices.
  • Using Datamine, AMINE, Deswik and other modeling and geostatistical software (as required), complete regular geological and grade wireframes for specified projects.
  • Audit and perform adequate quality control checks of various, current drill hole and geological databases within the software programs being used.
  • Make recommendations for additional diamond drilling or geological interpretation to ensure ore body resource estimates meet resource/reserve classifications.
  • Alert the NAP Exploration and Technical Service Team of any problems identified in any of the spatial databases required in completion of resource estimates and execution of Production Geology practices and services.
  • Direct and assist 3rd party Independent, Qualified Persons in the timely auditing and validation of internal resource estimates.
  • Provide stope reconciliations, dilution estimates, grade forecasting and grade blending.
  • Participate with Geology, Engineering, Exploration and Operations in short and long-term mine planning.· Assist Independent QPs and Consultants in the timely completion of 43-101 Technical Reports, Scoping Studies, Pre-Feasibility and Feasibility Study reports related to any of the company’s resources.
 
Qualifications:
 
Education/Experience
 
  • B.Sc. in Geology or Earth Sciences is the minimum requirement. M.Sc. preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years in production and exploration geology.
  • Exposure to database management, QA/QC and geological modeling.
  • Knowledge of Datamine and Fusion software and working knowledge of AutoCAD/Amine, Deswik and Leapfrog.
  • Attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
  • Able to work independently, organize work, under pressure and in a timely manner.
 
Qualifications / Requirements
 
  • Registration as a Professional Geoscientist with APGO.
  • Familiarity with CIM Best Practice Guidelines, National Instrument 43-101 or equivalent.
 
Working Conditions/Environment
 
  • The position is mine site based and will initially be a 14 on 14 off work schedule. The position schedule may change after an initial evaluation period.

Electrical Maintenance Planner

Reporting directly to the Planning/Reliability General Foreman, the Electrical Maintenance Planner is responsible for liaising between Engineering, Operations and Maintenance groups to ensure the maximum use of Maintenance resources while minimizing interruptions to Operations and Production. 

Fixed Plant Maintenance Supervisor

Working a fourteen (14) day on fourteen (14) day off rotation at the mine site, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading and directing the Fixed Plant Maintenance Crews, while ensuring they work in a safe and productive manner at Lac des Iles Mine.

Safety Coordinator

LDI mine is looking for a motivated individual to join our Safety team. Reporting to the Safety Superintendent, you will work an 8 days on / 6 days off schedule at the Lac des Iles Mine site.

Senior Long Range Planning Engineer

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, working a four (4) day on three (3) day off rotation or an (8) day on six (6) day off rotation at the mine site, the successful candidate will be in charge of Lac des Iles Mine’s medium to long term planning and scheduling. 

Mill Operations Supervisor

Reporting to the Mill General Foreman on a 14 days on, 14 days off rotation, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading and directing the Mill Operations Crews, while ensuring they work in a safe and productive manner at Lac des Iles Mine.

Miner 2 Production – Long Hole Blaster
  • They must demonstrate the skills to prepare for long-hole blast following cleaning and loading prints, selecting blasting agents, operating loading equipment, loading holes, determining firing sequence, blasting the face and perform other duties as required and assigned by the supervisor.
Miner 2 Production – Operate Remote LHD
  • They must demonstrate the skills to operate and maintain various LHD’s on remote control, inspecting Draw-Points “Safe Limit Lines”, Remote Stands, handling oversize muck, secondary blasting and perform other duties as required and assigned by the supervisor.
Miner 3 Production – Operate LHD, Haul Truck
  • They must demonstrate the skills to operate and maintain various LHD and haul trucks and perform other duties as required and assigned by the supervisor.
Trades 1 (HD Mechanic)
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all on-site mobile equipment (surface heavy equipment, underground equipment and all service vehicles).
Trades 1 (Millwright)
  • Service, repair and perform routine preventative maintenance on all stationary equipment on site, including hoisting and underground
  • Direct and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions with all plant related equipment
