Job Summary:
Anixter Toronto OEM West is located in Mississauga and is looking for an Inside Sales Representative to develop new business opportunities while providing exceptional service to existing customers. The successful candidate will be a consummate and credible sales professional selling Anixter products and solutions to the OEM vertical. This role is focused on new business development and is suited to people who are ‘sales hungry’ and who can exploit their exceptional sales skills with effective and successful results.
Job duties
• Responsible for meeting (or exceeding) monthly sales objectives.
• Be intuitive enough to uncover pain points our customers are experiencing and position the value that Anixter can offer to overcome them.
• Grow your account base through daily proactive outbound calls (cold calling)
• Identify potential customers and develop and implement a detailed account strategy for each of them
• Work closely with Anixter’s internal resources to customize a solution offering specific to the customers’ needs
• Uncover new opportunities and expand your contacts within existing accounts.
• Successfully manage the sales process; from lead generation, solution pitch, negotiation, closing the order and providing post sales support
• Responsible for new and existing business. You are expected to be autonomous however you will work in close collaboration with your supervisor for complex pitches and strategies
• Manage and maintain a pipeline and ensure all sales administration is up to date using our software
• Create and be accountable for all client proposals, quotations, contracts and any further documentation, following Anixter’s procedure
• Respond to quotations and requests for information in a timely manner
• Close new business deals by coordinating requirements and developing and negotiating contracts
Job Requirements. Reporting directly to the OEM West Location Manager, the successful candidate for this position will possess:
• Experience & Schooling
Minimum 2 years experience selling to the OEM vertical.
• Job-specific knowledge:
○ Strong understanding of the OEM Market.
○ Microsoft office and Lotus Notes
○ Excellent ability to communicate in English (written and spoken)
○ Strong mathematics skills
• Skills & Attributes:
○ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (customer-centric)
○ Ability to build a strong rapport with customers
○ Strong problem solving and listening skills
○ Understands the consultative sell and is inquisitive
