Junior Environmental Engineer or Scientist

- General field and office assignments under supervision
- Conducting a wide variety of geo-environmental and hydrogeological investigations including field investigations of soil, groundwater and air quality
- Preparing and adhering to site-specific health and safety plans to mitigate or eliminate risks to oneself and other Golder staff, client’s personnel and the public
- Maintaining a safe and hazard free work environment in line with our health and safety culture
- Participating in a team environment within and outside of the ERW Group
- Data tabulation, comparing the results to site-specific regulatory guidelines and/or protocols and data QA/QC to support technical reports
- Travelling when required to conduct project work
- Maintaining a high standard of behaviour to uphold Golder’s reputation and demonstrating a commitment to our Core Values
- Other duties as required
- Undergraduate degree in Civil, Geological, or Environmental Engineering or related field
- Experience in problem solving with industry standard commercial computer software
- Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Strong people skills and an ability to work in a team environment
- Detail oriented with a focus on quality of work
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to operate in both field and office environments
- Must be eligible to register as an Engineer-In-Training or Geologist-in-Training with Engineers and Geoscientists BC
- Willingness to work out of town, and at remote sites, primarily in British Columbia and Yukon for two to three-week long assignments
- Valid British Columbia driver’s license
