IT Systems Analyst

- Position will be located at the Finance office.
- 5 days on/2 days off rotation.
- This position will require some travel to LDI mine site and Toronto corporate office.
- University degree or college diploma in computer science, computer engineering, computer programming or software engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with application development and support in a Windows/web environment
- Minimum 5 years of experience with system administration and end user application support
- Windows Server fundamentals - Essential areas including Active Directory, Remote Desktop Applications, IIS. Prefer to have DNS, DHCP, IIS and Hyper V and VMWare.
- Application Development and Support - Expertise with .NET environment including C#, VB, Java supporting both Windows and web applications.
- Reporting and Business Intelligence - Key areas include SQL programming language, using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and having a familiarity with report generators such as Crystal Reports
- Help Desk - Experience with front ending support emails/calls, understanding the use of tools like Remote Desktop and TeamViewer.
- Problem solving - The ability to quickly diagnose problems with available “tools” is critical.
- Networks and firewalls - Essential to have base LAN/WAN understanding, base firewall understanding and practices to build on company security. Prefer to have familiarity with Watchguard firewalls, Ubiquiti switches and access points.
- Entity asset management software - Experience with ERP software such as 4site/SAP/JD Edwards. Fundamentals with the base business logic of operations like procurement, maintenance, warehousing and finance.
Key responsibilities of the IT Systems Analyst include application and end user support with technical issues; technical analysis and design; and support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out the solutions, and managing the daily activities of configuration and operation of business systems.
Reporting to the Tailings Management Facility Superintendent, the Junior Engineer’s responsibilities will be daily tailings dam safety inspections, providing engineering support, managing civil earthworks projects associated with tailings dams and other related civil infrastructure, and assisting in the administration of the project including contractor monthly claims, design changes, and project change notices.
Reporting to the Chief Geologist or designate, the successful candidates will work a 14 day on/14 day off rotation at the Lac des Iles mine site.
