Lakehead University, Thunder Bay Campus, invites applications for two tenure-track positions and one 3-year limited-term appointment in the Department of Computer Science. 
 
Tenure-Track (2 positions): Applications are invited from outstanding candidates in Computer Science with a strong research focus in the broad category with preferences in the following areas: Cryptography, Computer Security and Privacy, Computing Systems, Human-Computer Interaction, Natural Language Processing,  and Theoretical Computer Science. Applications with exceptional research in other areas that complement the expertise of the department may also be considered.
 
Limited Term Appointment (1 position): Applicants will be expected to teach a range of courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, such as Data Structures, Theory of Computing, Operating Systems, Computer Architecture, and other Computer Science core courses as well as may supervise MSc projects/Theses. Strong research or the potential to conduct high-impact research is also essential for this position.
 
The successful candidates are expected to initiate an externally funded research program and contribute to the supervision of graduate students in our MSc. Program. Additionally, the candidates are expected to actively participate and support the department activities.  Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related discipline. Prior teaching, post-doctoral, or industry experience will be considered as an asset. Experience with experiential learning and online or alternative modes of course delivery is highly desired.
 
The Department of Computer Science is a fast-growing department with a total of 14 full-time faculty members including one research chair. Our faculty members are involved in various externally funded research programs.
