This position provides administrative and substantive support to the Elliott Legal Department including the Vice President, Legal Affairs and General Counsel; Senior Corporate Counsel; Corporate Attorney and Litigation Attorney.
 
The successful candidate will have accessibility to highly confidential information including; business activities, budgets, business strategies, privileged and confidential attorney work product and personnel records and information. Accordingly, the successful candidate must be able to hold confidential all information to which he/she is exposed.
 
Responsibilities
 
As the Legal Department provides support to Elliott operations worldwide, this position requires sound critical thinking and analytical ability, as well as good interpersonal and problem solving skills, and a clear appreciation and focus on the importance of facilitating operational goals. This position requires the candidate to be well-organized, able to multi-task, and to respond to requests in a timely manner in order to address tight deadlines. The individual needs to be flexible, with the ability to prioritize, as the demands each day can vary greatly. Planning is an essential element/key element in every aspect of this job function. The specific job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
 
  • Supporting Vice President, Legal Affairs and General Counsel, as well as other Legal Department team members.
  • Maintain departmental information on special and confidential records such as salary information, performance appraisal, attendance and training records, visas, passports, etc.
  • Maintains departmental files and has material available as needed for reference or follow-up.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions and monitors purchase order spend, through Oracle, to process Legal Department invoices.
  • Track Legal Department spend for outside counsel on a case by case basis through Excel.
  • Assist with litigation log preparation on a quarterly basis as well as ad hoc reports and presentations as necessary.
  • Assist with Service of Process functions, alerting Elliott’s General Counsel and senior Corporate Counsel of new filings.
  • Work as one company within Elliott Group entities and assisting with communications to Ebara Corporation.
  • Assist with Board meeting preparation and other corporate governance matters, including maintenance of resolution log (Elliott Group Holdings, Inc., Elliott Company and Elliott Company subsidiaries).
  • Coordination of legal documents for signature, perform Notary Public services and secure consularization/apostille (as needed and required).
  • Coordinate contractor license and state qualification administration.
  • Assist Legal Department team members with the protection of Company Intellectual Property including, but not limited to, patent, trademark and copyright matters.
  • Perform administrative tasks for the Legal & Compliance departments such as but not limited to; Organize meeting and travel arrangements, purchase supplies, distribute mail, manage Legal Department subscriptions, and arranging meetings and meals for Elliott employees.
  • Prepare legally accurate letters, communications, and correspondence.
  • Organize and analyze case files, legal forms, and other information as necessary.
  • Complete any necessary follow-up work from meetings as instructed.
  • Create and process necessary paperwork and documentation for Visa applications for overseas travel.
 
Qualifications
 
  • This role requires 10 years relevant experience or an Associates Degree plus 5 years administrative legal assistant experience with a strong preference for legal office experience. A paralegal certificate with 3 years of paralegal experience will be given priority.
  • Candidate must have the ability to multi-task and must have exceptional organizational skills.
  • Candidate must possess a demonstrated ability to interact with internal/external individuals at the highest level of management and to do so with poise and confidence.
  • Candidate must be able a self -starter and be able to adapt to changing work demands and schedules without direct oversight.
  • Candidate must demonstrate high level of analytical skill. with the ability to think strategically and problem solve.
  • Candidate must possess experience and proficiency in the use of each of the following: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Candidate must demonstrate knowledge and possess experience with Lotus Notes and Oracle E-Business Suite or be willing to learn.
  • Candidate must be able to maintain confidentiality at all levels and in all circumstances.
  • Candidate must produce a product which is error-free (i.e., proofreading is a must).
  • Flexibility to work outside normal office hours may be required from time-to-time.
  • Candidate must be personable but highly professional.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology is required.
  • Candidate must be willing to become a Notary Public

Production Laborer

This position will assist, as assigned, the various production operators, skilled trades and other production and maintenance personnel in various functions to increase safety, quality and productivity. 

Drafter - Cryo Test Engineering

The primary functions of this position are to create Test Setup layouts / 3D models via CAD technologies, review the accuracy of drawings created by CAD or manual procedures and create detailed drawings (Test Stand Design, Test loop Piping, Pipe fabrication models, test head plate adapters, hydro test drawings, Bulkhead drawings, etc,).
