CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

- Processing orders, transactions and back-order management
- Building customer relations both internally and externally
- Part of the incoming call team, answering calls promptly and professionally
- Product sourcing, quoting, problem solving, expediting etc.
- Issuing formal quotations and following up with customers
- Advising customers on products by providing information or interface with Inside Sales Rep, Field Safety Specialist, and Technical Specialist as required
- Closing service or product sales opportunities whenever possible before escalating to the Sales Team as necessary
- Up sell, promote products & services, and ask key questions to customers to discover potential opportunities
- Manage Branch Inventory through head office purchasing team, & the set-up of new products as required
- Assist with operational requirements including branch audits
- Work closely with the Service Coordinator to assist with Service requests/requirements as necessary for SK, MB and NWON
- Switchboard, mailroom & facility duties including warehouse functions (shipping, receiving etc.) as required
- Other Duties may be assigned
- Grade 12 or equivalent with some post-secondary education preferred in business administration
- Minimum 2-3 years general office experience
- Proficient computer skills. Previous experience with a CRM database is ideal
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to problem-solve & work both independently and as part of a team
- Physical requirements: potential lifting of 25lb+ boxes
- Previous warehouse experience and working with purchasing portals i.e. Ariba, Taulia, Agora, Nimbi, an asset
