Role: Reporting to the team leader, the machinist operates various conventional machine-tools in order to build and repair different mechanical assemblies

Key Responsibilities

 

• Machining parts (rotors,endbrackets,etc) according to measurements taken and/or client and/or drawings pecifications;

• Take dimensions of different parts & compare with tolerances

• Analyse various drawings related to manufacturing and repair, and apply the appropriated specifications;

• Using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure measurements accuracy ;

• Operating various machine-tools such as :, milling, and different kinds of conventional lathes;

• Machine & undercut DC commutators

• Knowing and understanding different applications and the required materials;

• Proceeding to boring and rectification operations;

• Perform all other related tasks.

Skills

 

• Vocational studies in technical machining, or equivalent;

• 2 years of relevant work experience in an industrial sector;

• Good knowledge of conventional machining (tours, milling, boring, etc.);

• Good knowledge reading plans;

• Good knowledge of manufacture and repairs of various components;
