The individual will be responsible for scheduling regular maintenance for various facility systems, overseeing the continues improvement of the maintenance process and executing long-term preventative maintenance plan.
 
This position will also coordinate the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of conveyor belts and ensure that orders are fulfilled to specification in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities and Duties
 
  • General custodial care of the facility - Safety lights are functional, repairs to doors, roll up motors or pump out of waste pits, roof maintenance, Ice removal, watering of tress in hot weather, paving repairs and making recommendations for improvement where necessary
  • Run daily maintenance operations of building, facilities and grounds, inspect for life/safety issues and take immediate corrective action
  • Prioritize the preventative and reactive maintenance and repairs of facility equipment and parts utilizing a variety of software tools and programs
  • Secure facility by checking locked doors, turning alarms on, ensuring gate is operational, and testing systems
  • Ensuring that orders are fulfilled to specification in a safe & timely manner, Identifying and reporting process improvement to warehouse manager
  • Receiving inventory from the supplier, ensuring shipment matches the specification, and necessary paperwork's are completed
  • Perform other material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking
  • Participate in warehouse organization, cleaning and maintenance
  • Accurately complete all appropriate paperwork
  • Work in a safe manner and participate in safety initiatives
 
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
 
  • Completion of a college program in a discipline related to facility operation and maintenance or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience in administration or maintenance
  • 1-years experience in facility operations or maintenance
  • 1-year experience working in an industrial environment
  • Experience working in a warehouse within the conveyor belting industry is a huge advantage
  • Health & Safety training in an industrial environment would be an asset
  • Preference may be given to candidates with millwright experience
  • Forklift operation experience is a must
  • Willing to work extra hours/emergency hours if needed
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools
  • Use a personal computer and appropriate computer software
  • Valid Ontario Drivers License and clean abstract
  • Ability to lift 60+ lbs. with the assistance of another person
