- 5-7 years' experience with Mining Industry
- Undergraduate degree or relevant experience is required
- Six Sigma certification is preferred
- Production Systems (TPS, VPS, Lean)
- Project Management Skills
- S&OP, Integrated Planning, Capacity Planning, Production Planning experience
- Review and validate the operating plan to determine viability and recommend optimization. Possess a good understanding of the operations strategy and tools used to develop the plan.
- Work collaboratively with the plants in development of the Plan (3-24 months' time horizon) and the Budget. Identifying opportunities, gaps and challenging the Status Quo, aiming for continuous improvement of the process.
- Setup and monitor a set of key performance indicators to assess operation performance, productivity and technical planning quality.
- Monitor the operations action plans that support the production assumptions and make sure they stay on track.
- Apply advanced statistical tools for analyzing and predicting conditions, trends, risks and opportunities. Assist the operations and internal business planning team in delivering facts on performance so they can develop plans to improve. eg Multi-variable regression analysis
- Working with peers in the operations, providing assistance when needed to enable alignment with the IBP process, terminology and data.
- Responsible, as part of the IBP team for reporting (daily, weekly, monthly) eg IBP supply meeting and monthly performance meeting.
- Provide specialized technical analytical consulting and expertise to support requests from operations and projects.
- Improve operational performance through the development of optimization models and advanced statistical analytics, condition prediction tools.
