The Human Resources Generalist, reports directly to the Superintendent of Human Resources, is responsible for but not limited to the recruitment and hire process of the mine and mill departments, employee relations, administration of benefits and implementation of company policies.
 
Primary Responsibilities Include:
 
The list of duties and responsibilities below are not exclusive or exhaustive, and the employee will be required to undertake such duties as may reasonably be expected within the scope of grading of the position. All employees are required to be professional, cooperative and flexible in line with the requirements of the position.
 
• Fulfilling recruitment and staffing requirements
• Updating and maintaining organization charts
• Maintaining performance management and improvement tracking systems.
• Providing employee orientation, development, training logistics and recordkeeping
• Assisting with employee relations
• Delivering company employee communication
• Administering compensation, benefits and recordkeeping
• Ensuring employee safety, welfare, wellness, health reporting and employee services
• Assisting with the day-to-day efficient operation of the HR office
• Coverage of HR Superintendent position as required.
 
Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
 
• Comprehensive knowledge of Provincial Labour Laws
• Minimum of 2-4 years Human Resources experience
• Previous work experience within the mining industry an asset
• Valid SHRP or CHRP designation is preferred
• Understanding of business affairs within the mining industry an asset
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and presentation skills

Security Guard

The Security Guard, reporting directly to the Security Supervisor, is responsible for operating the mine security gate house and monitoring all activity coming on or leaving the mine site.

The Mill Manager’s main responsibility is to ensure the safe and economical operation of the milling and metallurgical department.

Sample Preparation Technician x 2

Primary responsibility of a Sample Preparation Technician is to perform sample preparation of underground drill core, chips and muck samples as well as other duties given by the Shift Crew Leader during the course of a shift.

Refiner/Metallurgical Technician

Reporting to the Chief Metallurgist, the Refiner/Metallurgical Technician will ensure the safe, secure, efficient, and cost-effective operation and maintenance of the refinery to meet or exceed safety, production and cost targets, while ensuring environmental compliance.

Mill Supervisor
• Provide technical support and direction for the Mill team.
• Implementation of standards.
• Plant testing programs and operational parameters.
Multiple Mill Operator Positions

As an integral part of the McEwen Mining Mill Operations team, the Mill Operators will efficiently perform all required duties while maintaining a safe and collaborative work environment.

Senior Project Engineer

Reporting to the Manager of Technical Services, the Senior Project is responsible to assist in leading the Engineering department in the design and scheduling of the underground mine development.
