To provide a holistic HR management function to the organization, covering the full employee value proposition from attraction and selection, through retention and development, to exit. The HR Superintendent also functions as member of the company's leadership team, providing focus and advocacy, leading, and influencing organizational development and transformational processes. He/she also maintains a strong external focus by successfully interacting with external stakeholders.
 
Role and Responsibilities
 
  • Knowledge of State and Federal Regulations and NEPA, RCRA, ISO 14001
  • Sound understanding of MSHA and the CFR’s and general industrial safety
  • Knowledge of company policy and procedures
  • Knowledge of HSEQ standards and requirements relevant to this area of work and its related operations
  • Conduct programs relating to labour law and works rights, e.g. posters and communications
  • Manage compliance, regulatory, and governance and provide subject matter expertise to all managers on employment law (EEO, ADA, FMLA)
  • Develop disciplinary policies, processes, procedures, and practices
  • Assess the needs of the organization and determine what type of training and/or coaching needs to be facilitated to make leaders more effective and get optimal results from work teams
  • Plan bi-annual and annual training calendars
  • Develop and review annual training budgets
  • Facilitate employee induction
  • Monitor and administer hourly staff upgrade criteria and training
  • Plan and facilitate Front line Supervisory and Management Development training
  • Conduct coaching and mentoring as required
  • Monitor full compliance to regulatory training
  • Serve as subject matter expert on benefits and compensation
  • Develop and drive a performance management process and controls, ensuring that development of effective performance evaluation behaviours and activitie

Qualifications
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration or related field is preferred
  • PHR professional certification is required
  • 8 – 10 years of experience in a mining or similar operational environment preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years in a Supervisory position
  • Evidence of strong leadership and coaching skills

Refiner/Metallurgical Technician

Reporting to the Chief Metallurgist, the Refiner/Metallurgical Technician will ensure the safe, secure, efficient, and cost-effective operation and maintenance of the refinery to meet or exceed safety, production and cost targets, while ensuring environmental compliance.

Mill Supervisor
• Provide technical support and direction for the Mill team.
• Implementation of standards.
• Plant testing programs and operational parameters.
Multiple Mill Operator Positions

As an integral part of the McEwen Mining Mill Operations team, the Mill Operators will efficiently perform all required duties while maintaining a safe and collaborative work environment.

Senior Project Engineer

Reporting to the Manager of Technical Services, the Senior Project is responsible to assist in leading the Engineering department in the design and scheduling of the underground mine development.
