Mine Technician (Survey / Ventilation)

Reporting to the Chief Surveyor, the Underground Surveyor will ensure the safe and economically sound development and operations of the underground mine. The role, on a 5/2 rotation, combines an understanding of the effects of these structures on their surrounding environment and technical knowledge.
 
Primary Responsibilities Include:
 
• Surveys of underground workplaces along with surface GPS surveys.
• Calls for line of grade and issues updated workplace plans.
• Instructs crews as to direction of mining.
• Advises Supervisor(s) of U/G problems.
• Underground ventilation sampling and survey.
• Other duties as prescribed.
 
Qualifications and Skills Requirement:
 
• Proven safety record with a positive attitude.
• Technician’s Diploma or College Degree from a recognized institution.
• UG Common Core.
• Possess effective written, verbal and organizational skills.
• 1 – 3 years technical underground experience at an operating mine site.
• Experience with Amine and Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Physically fit.

Primary responsibility of a Sample Preparation Technician is to perform sample preparation of underground drill core, chips and muck samples as well as other duties given by the Shift Crew Leader during the course of a shift.

Refiner/Metallurgical Technician

Reporting to the Chief Metallurgist, the Refiner/Metallurgical Technician will ensure the safe, secure, efficient, and cost-effective operation and maintenance of the refinery to meet or exceed safety, production and cost targets, while ensuring environmental compliance.

Mill Supervisor
• Provide technical support and direction for the Mill team.
• Implementation of standards.
• Plant testing programs and operational parameters.
Multiple Mill Operator Positions

As an integral part of the McEwen Mining Mill Operations team, the Mill Operators will efficiently perform all required duties while maintaining a safe and collaborative work environment.

Senior Project Engineer

Reporting to the Manager of Technical Services, the Senior Project is responsible to assist in leading the Engineering department in the design and scheduling of the underground mine development.
