Global Procurement Lead

- Evaluate global procurement requirements through ongoing engagement of all departments, mine sites and stakeholders
- Identify and research new purchasing opportunities for new and existing materials/services, with the goal of achieving improvements in costs, quality, and logistics
- Identify and execute strategic sourcing opportunities to ensure the achievement of savings for identified products or commodities
- Implement and maintain appropriate category-specific sourcing strategies, works with mine site procurement, with special focus on major item categories
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers including conducting vendor performance reviews
- Provide sourcing and procurement advisory services to the mine sites, including planning, budgeting and performance monitoring
- Negotiate and owns commercial document preparation process and the final review.
- Develop and execute standardized strategic sourcing processes and strategies
- Drive and maintain Procurement and Supply Chain Management Policy, including McEwen Governance Compliance
- Work with the mine site procurement teams to form and review all new contracts, subcontracts, Blanket PO’s, RFQ/RFP packages, Vendor Management agreements
- KPI management for Procurement and recommendation for new metrics
- Develop and maintains strong working relationships with all internal stakeholders
- Manage and archive all procurement and process documents.
- Risk management and mitigation through commercial procurement structures
- Prepare and review of:
- Work with the mine site procurement to prioritize and formulate sourcing, negotiation and contracting strategies for the identified product line/commodities.
- Actively participate in negotiations with suppliers
- Analyze consumption and spending trends for commodities, and develop forecast estimate of future usage and plan accordingly
- Work with the mine site Procurement teams to support all other procurement activities.
- Mentor and develop mine site Procurement personnel as required and continually assess for further development.
- 10+ years experience in a procurement/supply chain similar role
- Mining, Industrial or Infrastructure procurement experience
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration
- Recognized Supply Chain Designation(s)
- 8 years + of previous progressive experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, and Vendor Management
- Experience in spend analytics, a strategic thinker, with strong knowledge and expertise in project management
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Experience in contract development and interpretation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and decision-making skills
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Computer literacy in MS Office

The Global Procurement Lead will oversee all procurement and supply chain activities for existing operations and new projects, to develop and execute strategic sourcing aligned with McEwen’s overall spend.
The Security Guard, reporting directly to the Security Supervisor, is responsible for operating the mine security gate house and monitoring all activity coming on or leaving the mine site.
The Mill Manager’s main responsibility is to ensure the safe and economical operation of the milling and metallurgical department.
Primary responsibility of a Sample Preparation Technician is to perform sample preparation of underground drill core, chips and muck samples as well as other duties given by the Shift Crew Leader during the course of a shift.
Reporting to the Chief Metallurgist, the Refiner/Metallurgical Technician will ensure the safe, secure, efficient, and cost-effective operation and maintenance of the refinery to meet or exceed safety, production and cost targets, while ensuring environmental compliance.
As an integral part of the McEwen Mining Mill Operations team, the Mill Operators will efficiently perform all required duties while maintaining a safe and collaborative work environment.
Reporting to the Manager of Technical Services, the Senior Project is responsible to assist in leading the Engineering department in the design and scheduling of the underground mine development.
