Mobile Parts Inc. is a major supplier of mobile equipment parts and specially fitted utility vehicles designed to carry people and materials in mining environments. We are proudly located in Sudbury, Ontario and supply parts and products to the mining industry in multiple countries worldwide! We are looking for an ambitious and teamoriented individual to join our team!

 

The Role:

 

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Designer to work closely with our Production and Business Development teams in creating and improving our manufacturing process of our Toyota truck lines.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Design components for use on Toyota Landcruiser mine utility vehicles.

• Create fabrication and assembly drawings using 3D CAD software.

• Assist with new product development and product improvement projects.

• Work with production personnel to record any changes to vehicles in production and create associated drawings.

• Assist with creating operator’s and parts manuals for Toyota Landcruiser mine utility vehicles.

 

Required Skills & Experience:

 

• Mechanical Engineering Technologist/Technician Diploma or equivalent work experience.

• Fluent with Solidworks or Autodesk Inventor (Solidworks 2020 preferred).

• Familiar with steel and/or aluminum fabrication (cutting, welding, bending, machining).

• Strong written, verbal, mathematical, and interpersonal skills.

• An interest or experience with 4x4 trucks, off-road vehicles and/or underground mining equipment would be an asset.

• 1+ years of experience as a Mechanical Designer, however a new graduate may be considered.
