CNC Machinist / Programmer

- Program, set-up and operate four-axis CNC machines
- Verify dimensions of parts and tools using precision measuring instruments
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings
- Adhere to instructions, regulations and safety policies
- Perform quality testing and inspections
- Occasional travel to customer sites
- Ability to work extra hours if required
- Minimum 2 years demonstrated ability to set up and operate four-axis CNC vertical mills or lathes
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Effectively communicate information with managers and other employees
- Motivated to learn and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to cross train on other types of machinery is an asset
Working in a fast paced environment you will be responsible for programming, set up and operation of our state of the art, multi-axis (four) CNC Vertical Mills and Lathes with Live Tooling, to create custom parts for our specialized equipment.
The successful candidate will possess strong electrical design skills, coupled with good mechanical understanding, to work in our engineering design office in Lindsay, Ontario.
The successful candidate will possess strong general mechanical skills to work in our design office in Lindsay, Ontario.
This person will work alongside Senior Programmers to maintain and modify custom enterprise applications, with the possibility of developing new software solutions.
Working in a manufacturing environment the accounting clerk will primarily perform Accounts Receivable functions, however, will be required to assist with Accounts Payable and Payroll as needed.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in Metal Fabrication
- The ability to read and properly interpret mechanical drawings
