Mersen have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Chemical Engineer to join our Teesside Plant.
JOB DESCRIPTION MAIN OBJECTIVES:
- Review customer specifications to prepare quotations and provide product, market or application technical support for the Mersen Sales, Customer Service and Production Teams, up to and after order placement. Act as a trusted advisor to the customer.
- Working with the Project Manager prepare process and thermal design calculations for our range of process equipment.
- Produce quotations for the range of Anti Corrosion Equipment (ACE) products manufactured by Mersen to offer the best technical solution matching the customers expectation/needs.
- Develop strong relationships with customers; including site visits where appropriate.
- Project manage orders and handle technical after sales technical support for the Mersen ACE range of products. Including review of technical and commercial points on ACE orders.
- Adherence to the health and safety regulations.
- Collect and record opportunities / customer contacts / visit reports into Mersen chosen CRM
PROFILE REQUIRED:
- Chemical Engineer with 3-4 years’ experience of heat exchanger thermal design
- 4-5 years industry experience
- Basic knowledge of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems an advantage.
- A knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Power Point) would be required.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with customers; including site visits where appropriate.

REGIONAL FIELD SALES MANAGER (JUNIOR)
- Responsibility for reaching sales targets and increasing the market share in industry and trade, in particular fuse, surge and lightning protection
- Support of the existing customer base and identification of new OEM customers
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Establish new development programs with targeted leaders in the market. Manage the existing opportunity pipeline, while creating new sales opportunities with these accounts.

As Health, Safety and Environmental Manager you will be responsible for all activities related to occupational safety and health for our primary and secondary production sites.
