The purpose of the Underground Mine Geologist role is to implement, maintain and manage the daily mine geological activities under the direction of the Senior Mine Geologist.

Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, the Mine Geologist role will focus on the implementation and improvement of geological processes, predominately focusing on underground, with the opportunity to collaborate and support our open pit team. 
 
Key result areas in this role include: 
 
•    Accurate data collection and documentation to support production of grade control models
•    Geological mapping and sampling, drill program implantation as well as geological stope assessments
•    Work cohesively with key stakeholders, including Mining Engineers, Geology Superintendent and Processing Department personnel
•    Assist Geological team with weekly and monthly reporting 
 
About you
 
As a Mine Geologist you will have the ability to foresee and communicate any geological issues in a timely manner. It is also important that you have/ can demonstrate:    
 
•    Tertiary qualification in Geology or Geosciences;
•    Previous experience in a metalliferous underground mining environment;
•    Ideally experienced user of Datashed, Leapfrog, Surpac and Microsoft Office applications;
•    The ability to work autonomously and within team environments, while demonstrating strong communication and organisational skills;
•    Minimum 2 years relevant industry experience
