MINE PLANNER/EIT

- Prepare rolling three-month plans in accordance with Corporate and internal project deadlines and objectives, ensuring the following:
- Resource leveling of all major mining equipment and infrastructure, providing guidance on future equipment and infrastructure needs.
- Inclusion of major maintenance events, significant rehab or construction jobs.
- Meeting annual targets as set in Budget/LOM and making necessary modifications to schedule to reach goals.
- Communicating material changes with all department heads and involved Planners.
- Provide mid-term input to short-term mine planning (weekly plan).
- Review scheduling inputs (productivities, equipment availability/Utilization) on a regular basis with Operations and Engineering groups.
- Develop a good understanding of the underground conditions in order to provide safe and reasonable recommendations regarding mine planning inputs;
- Underground weekly tour with Mine Captains/Supervisors to visit all active mining areas prior to building weekly plan.
- Work with geology department to develop diamond drill target guidance based on geological confidence of material within the LOM plan. Ensure adequate mineral inventory exists throughout all phases of mine life.
- Assist Short Term Planning and Projects group as required.
- Perform other duties as required.
- B.Sc / B.Tech Degree in Mining Engineering or Mining Engineering Technology
- Minimum of 3 year’s relevant experience in an operating mine
- Experience in underground Hard Rock Mining Environment preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering theories and principles and a demonstrated knowledge of Canadian Engineering standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and presentation skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Strong people skills and an ability to work in a team environment.
- Proficiency in use of mine design software (AutoCAD, Promine, Deswik)
- Demonstrated proficiency in Deswik.Sched

The Core Technician will be responsible to support the Geology departments by processing and sampling/cutting of diamond drill core.
The Assayer 1 processes Mine Production and Exploration samples for grade control providing vital information in a timely method to assist in key decision making relating to mining/geology activity and reconciling samples entering and exiting the Mill Process.
The Mine Planner/EIT will be responsible for mine planning within the 3 - 6 month planning interval.
