Director, Projects

- Collaborate with project and mine site leadership to develop project execution strategies, including key milestones, timelines, and deliverables.
- Prepare and review, as required, project studies, design criteria, reports, plans and specifications.
- Responsible for negotiating and supporting the selection of all third-party design, engineering and other construction and consulting firms that may be engaged.
- Manage project construction activities.
- Manage project resources, including external consultants and contractors, to ensure all work is completed on schedule, on budget and meets all quality and safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, laws and government regulations and integrate applicable industry best practices.
- Effectively communicate and report on project status with Vice President, Project Development and other senior leaders as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned and required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in engineering and construction within an EPC/EPCM environment with a focus on mining projects.
- Experience in managing small to medium greenfield and brownfield capital (+$15-$100M) projects is required.
- Experience as an owner’s team Project Manager would be an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present ideas clearly.
- Strong technical report writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to identify key technical and business issues and develop innovative solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage work in a brownfield environment, including the ability to establish strong working relationships between the operations and project development teams.
- Computer literate with previous experience using the Microsoft Office suite (including Excel and Word) and the ability to learn new software programs.
Reporting to the Process Engineering Supervisor, the Process Engineer is a junior to mid-level position for a candidate with some experience in the mining or oil sands industry.
Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the Senior Mine Engineer will be in integral member of an experienced corporate engineering team working on a broad spectrum of projects at various stages of design, permitting, construction and operation.
Reporting directly to the Assistant Controller, the Financial Reporting Manager, will assist with leveraging technology and creating financial reporting efficiencies for our organization.
Reporting to the Exploration Manager, the exploration geologist will collaboratively work to build and evaluate a pipeline of exploration targets at the Eskay Creek project.

Reporting to the Vice President, Technical Services, the Director, Electrical Engineering is responsible for overseeing the electrical engineering function within Copper Mountain and providing electrical engineering expertise across the Company’s operations, development projects and exploration properties.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Vice President, People is responsible for providing strategic human resources leadership to Copper Mountain Mining Corporation and ensuring the delivery of core HR functions including recruitment and retention, performance and succession management, people development, global mobility, HR policies and procedures, and compensation and benefits.
Reporting to the Vice President, Technical Services, the Director, Metallurgy is responsible for overseeing all metallurgical programs at Copper Mountain’s operations, development projects and exploration properties.
Reporting to the Vice President, Project Development, the Director, Projects is responsible for managing project development activity at the Company’s operations and exploration properties.
