SERVICE TECHNICIAN - FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES / TECHNICIEN DE SERVICE

- Provide customer service as a service technician to all existing and new customers
- Inspection, Maintenance and service of Fire Extinguishers & Fire & Life Safety Services Equipment including Stored Pressure & Cartridge Operated Fire Extinguishers (Portable & Wheeled) as required.
- Provide in shop and mobile service work on customer sites.
- Hydro testing of Fire Extinguishers.
- Fire Alarm work including: inspection, preventative maintenance, commissioning, service call out (as needed basis)
- Working with locally assigned service coordinator to Schedule service work and maintain the ordering of parts.
- Maintain service vehicle inventory and all required tools
- Complete all applicable H&S Paperwork associated with company policies and procedures
- Accurate and timely completion of billing, certification(s), & required paperwork.
- Ensure all required manufacture certification(s) is up to date and current
- Be an ongoing contributor to the development of JHA’s (Job Hazard Assessments) and Safe Work Practices relevant to the position
- Perform after hours and on call duties as required.
- Other Duties as be assigned.
- Must be bilingual
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years Industry experience is ideal.
- Mechanical Aptitude with Basic Electrical Knowledge
- Certified in inspection & testing of hand portable fire extinguishers preferred.
- Good oral/written communications and computer skills
- Ability to work out of town as required
