Road Maintenance Supervisor, Mine Operation

- Oversee maintenance of service roads by ensurering the road surfaces are maintained by regularly grading/crowing and controlling erosion.
- Control dust and stabilization of roadways and ensure that road sides, gutters, culverts and other drainage structures are clear and clean.
- Monitor the operation and maintenance of equipment by overseeing the operation of the dump and water trucks in the watering, sanding and patching of roads and hauling of fill.
- Supervise the operation of the front-end loaders in loading trucks, cleaning culverts, clearing roadways and other light and moderately heavy equipment in clearing roadways, pushing gravel and earth.
- To provide front line direction to the site service team by assisting in the coordination of all work along the site roads.
- Monitor the site services, ensuring any problems with respect to logistics are dealt immediately and arrange for temporary replacement equipment when there is an equipment breakdown.
- Manage the site service team by assisting in the hiring of site service employee and to ensure that all necessary training, tools and equipment is available to site service employees so they are able to perform their job safely and efficiently
- Technical diploma or certification in a related trade discipline.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of equipment operation an asset.
- Strong working knowledge of site services equipment.
- Good understanding and working knowledge of the applicable legislation and regulations for mines and milling plants.
- Ability to prepare accurate records and reposts.
- Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems.
- Ability to communicate well, both orally and in writing.
- Basic computer skills (e.g.outlook, excel spreadsheets, word processing)
- Design and supervision of construction of geotechnical and hydrological structures such as foundations, slopes, excavations, diversion ditch, and dams;
- Investigation of ground instabilities and recommending and designing mitigation measures
To purchase materials, goods, and services for all operations, maintenance, and support functions.
To provide safe and cost-effective survey services, by way of design, plans, and measurement data that communicate critical mining instructions to operators and development results to engineers.
To provide administrative support and ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the mill office and related activities.
The purpose of the Mine Road Supervisor is to ensure all site service roads are maintained year round.
The purpose of the Supervisor Mine is to supervise the mine crew and ensure production targets and schedules are met as forecast.
The Senior Mining Engineer takes part in the development of economic studies of mining projects (approach, prefeasibility, feasibility).
To ensure optimization of the Mill process is maintained through effective management and technical support to the Operations group as well as external support groups including Mine Technical Services and Mine Operations.
As a member of the Global Supply Chain (GSC), the analyst will utilize your abilities to provide actionable recommendations to the leaders of the organization.
This position is responsible to manage all maintenance activities including; safety, execution, personnel, budget, planning and continuous improvement.
