Currently Technica is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing team as a NETWORK ANALYST. The role of the Network Analyst is to deploy, configure, maintain and monitor all active network equipment in order to ensure smooth network connections. This versatile professional provides technical support to over 300 end users by troubleshooting and resolving reported issues. The key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to 300 + end users by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues reported through helpdesk management system
- Fully support, configure, maintain and upgrade corporate networks and in house servers
- Install and integrate new server hardware and applications
- Support and administer third-party applications
- Monitor and control the inventory of IT related equipment, in our ERP, and assign to end users as requested. Perform regular equipment audits to ensure the proper inventory is maintained
- Create and set-up new user accounts, permissions and passwords
- Continuously monitor remote usage
- Perform regular server maintenance/reboots to ensure its running efficiently and complete backups/checks to ensure functionality, reliability and recoverability of data
- Perform updates, plan, communicate and execute said updates
- Maintain security system access codes for the building and ensure proper procedure is followed for enabling and disabling FOB access
- Create and maintain technical documentation related to new software
- Research and make recommendations on server system administration
- Support implementation, training and operation of tablets
- Develop new strategies and IT procedures to increase efficiency and enhance workflow, implement and enforce network procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Post secondary education in Computer Science or related field
- Sonicwall, Cisco, CWNA or BCNE training is an asset
- Proven work experience in a helpdesk/network administrator role, or similar
- Networking, routing and switching experience
- Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting and problem resolution is preferred
- Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control and monitoring of server infrastructure
- Ability to set up and configure server hardware
- Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
- Ability to work flexible work schedule to accommodate server maintenance/updates
