• Modification and/or repair of vehicle systems including: chassis’, drivelines, engines, transmissions, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrics.
• Manufacturing and fitting of hydraulic hoses, valves and components.
• Testing and adjusting of all mechanical hydraulics, circuits and pneumatic components.
• Inspection, analysis and recording critical mechanical information during the process of undertaking mechanical refurbishment work.
• Cutting, grinding, drilling, welding and manufacturing of small components and fitting to machines.
• Commissioning and maintenance training of mine site personnel on all vehicle systems.
• Inspect, audit, service, repair and/or overhaul Normet equipment to OEM specifications in workshops and or remote mine sites.
• Ensure all work is carried out to quality and specification requirements and that documentation is completed on time and in full.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and to a high level of quality acceptable to both Normet and customer standards.
• Maintain tools and equipment to a high standard.
• Act and interact professionally and effectively within teams and whilst working autonomously when dealing with internal and external customers and subcontractors.
• Report any non-conforming issues and add to the overall result by making recommendations for continuous improvement. Inputs to be made in the Feedback System.
• Maintain and comply with Normet’s’ quality goals.
• Encourage regular interaction and information sharing with Auto Electricians, Engineering dept., Service Manager, Supply Chain personnel and Safety Manager.
• Create strong working relationships with sub-contractors/ customers onsite and provide high level technical advice where necessary. 
• Ensure 100% compliance with Normet Safety Standards.
• Ensure delivery is around 95% to current schedule.
