Forklift Operator

- Completes inbound & outbound deliveries up to 30,000 lbs at a time.
- Uses inventory control processes and procedures to move raw & finished goods.
- Ensures inbound and outbound deliveries are accurate and free of damage.
- Prepares products for delivery using a bill of lading, work orders and/or component lists to ensure customer service standards are met.
- Inspects the forklift on a daily basis and performs minor maintenance as required.
- Receives goods according to procedures.
- Ensures implementation and adherence to health and safety regulations; actively promotes safety and encourage safe work practices.
- High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Valid Forklift Operator’s License from a recognized training provider coupled with the ability to operate a forklift both inside and outside.
- Able to work outside in all climates and conditions
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to read and interpret blue-prints and tape measures
- Assets would include proficiency with Microsoft Office, experience using an ERP system, a Class 3A endorsement and overhead hoist/crane experience
- Effective organizational and time management skills in handling multiple projects, performing a variety of tasks, and meeting required deadlines.
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and ISO standards are considered assets.
