Norseman Structures has been in the protection and shelter business for almost 100 years, starting with the fabrication of outfitter and exploration tents in the 1920s. Today we deliver a wide variety of ShelterSolutions to customers in virtually every industry, in a variety of climates, anywhere in the world.
 
We are looking to add a Packager to our team in Saskatoon, SK for an initial term of 4 months, with the possibility of an extension. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for all aspects of the packaging process including safety, quality control, material handling, process monitoring and other support activities. This position will primarily be responsible for picking and packing orders, however, as experience grows, there may be opportunities to gain experience in receiving or forklift operation as well.
 
The hours of work for this role would be 7am to 5:30pm, Monday through Thursday.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Pick, pack and organize all material goods in accordance with processes and procedures.
  • Prepares products for delivery using a bill of lading, and/or component lists ensuring customer service standards are met.
  • Ensures packaging of warehouse goods, both purchased and manufactured, are available, accurately labelled and organized.
  • Operates a forklift within the warehouse area.
  • Inspects the forklift on a daily basis and performs minor maintenance as required. 
  • Ensures implementation and adherence to health and safety regulations; actively promotes safety and encourage safe work practices.
 
Requirements
 
  • High School diploma or equivalent with 1 year of relevant experience in a shipping & receiving or manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to read and interpret blue-prints and tape measures
  • Assets would include proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using an ERP system
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills in handling multiple projects, performing a variety of tasks, and meeting required deadlines.
  • Experienced operating a forklift, both inside and outside – preferred but not required
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and ISO standards are considered assets.
 

Steel Production Operator

Senior Superintendent

Reporting to the Vice President, Construction, you will be responsible for ensuring our pre-engineered buildings are installed safely, on time, within budget and while also adhering to the quality standards that Norseman Structures is known for in our industry.

Project Administrator

This position provides support to the Project Management and Construction teams in all stages of the project from point of sale to completed installation or delivery to the customer.

Junior Structural Draftsperson

Reporting to the Drafting Supervisor, this position will be responsible for preparing engineering drawings for both the steel and fabric components of our ShelterSolutions.
