Operations Manager
- Oversee recruitment, selection and basic human resource functions of field staff
- Training of field staff as per company’s SOP’s and maintain accurate training records
- Lead, mentor and coach a team of managers nationwide
- Monitor compliance of government policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain new site working procedures as required
- Develop and foster relationships with existing clients and field staff
- Mentor and coach existing team of managers and front-line staff
- Provide accurate and timely reports
- Assist with site surveys to determine equipment and personnel needs
- Evaluate and monitor equipment and uniform needs
- Be flexible and able to assist in cargo screening responsibilities when required
- Assist in employee discipline and performance issues
- Assist in creating and maintaining KPI’s
- Drive business development
- Approve timesheets and enter data into ADP EZ Labour in a timely manner
- Complete invoicing/payroll on a weekly basis
- Complete reports for management/executive team
- Complete ROE requests
- Training of field staff as per company’s SOP’s
- Monitor compliance of policies and procedures
- 4+ years of management and operational experience
- Strong interpersonal skills and strong drive for excellence
- Strong work ethic and ability to multitask
- Understanding of Transport Canada, Aerodrome and CBSA rules and regulations
- Relentless commitment to quality and attention to compliance and regulations
- Strong customer service skills
- Given that the nature of the business is a 24 hour service, the Operations Manager will be one of the points of quality control and may be called at any time in the event of an emergency
- Experience in recruiting and training field staff
