Ore Control Geologist - Eureka

- Perform pit mapping and geological interpretation to generate timely geologic maps to be used with the ore control assay data and minimize dilution
- Produce ore polygons for routing to appropriate stockpile
- Provide and maintain lithology and alteration structure wireframe solids to assist with near mine exploration
- Support with dilation and development of RC and Diamond drilling programs
- Provide routing of ore/waste and check on adherence to routing provided
- Work with Mine Engineering to ensure that refractory ore is segregated, and ensuring only oxidized ore placed on leach pad
- Provide post-mining polygons at the end of the month
- Measure and monitor slope stability for mining plan and model development
- Participate in a weekly Project meeting for general project reviews and update on status
- Build and maintain sound relationships across the Ore Control Team
- Support Surveyors by assisting with collecting samples and delivering to the Assay Lab if required
- Conduct pit inspections prior to the start of work

- Degree in Geology
- At least 2 years of mining geology experience is preferred
- Experience in ore control, statistical analytical techniques, and using mining software that includes 3D modelling is required
- Familiarity with complex geology of Carlin-type deposits is preferred
- Field work and long-distance transit in natural and uneven terrain
- Exposure to weather conditions ranging from extreme heat to rain, snow, and high winds at elevations of 6,000 and 9,000 feet above sea level
- Field work with heavy earth moving equipment, vehicles, and machinery present
- Walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and moving gear or equipment
- Lifting occasionally up to 50lbs
