Job Description
 
Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking a Paint Line Operator to join our team.
 
This position is based at our Airdrie, AB facility. 
 
Reporting to the Production Manager, this position is responsible for manually and automatically painting produced parts using the powder coating paint system based at our Airdrie, AB facility. The hours for this position will be Monday through Thursday from 4:00 pm to 2:30 am.

Position Overview:
 
  • Mark orders as started or completed on DMM.
  • Hang, paint and offload all parts required for production, including parts being supplied to other Eaton facilities.
  • Perform daily chemical testing, environmental tank cleaning and chemical handling as required.
  • Operate the burn off oven system.
  • Standard maintenance and ongoing equipment quality inspections.
  • Inspect finished products.

Qualifications
 
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
 
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
  • Must reside within 80km of Airdrie, AB to be considered for this position.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
 
  • 2 years’ experience working on an industrial paint line.
  • Ability to cross train and continuously learn.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Knowledge and practice of safety precautions related to working with machines.
  • Ability to recognize quality issues and make judgements.
 
Position Success Criteria:
 
  • Lifting and occasional heavy lifting/maneuvering up to 50 lbs with assistance or using lifting device.
  • Continuous standing, reaching.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain a positive commitment to the safety of self and others.
  • Strong analytical aptitude and complex problem-solving skills.

Administrative Coordinator

The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative support for the Western Ontario Field Services Group.

IPA Specialist

The primary purpose of the IPA Specialist position is the end-to-end project management for the construction of the electrical control building(E-House), as well as site supervision to the installation and configuration of the equipment.
