Proctor/Invigilator - Math Proficiency Test (Casual)

Cambrian College’s Test Centre requires part-time Test Proctors/Invigilators beginning May 2021 to support the administration of various tests and exams including the provincial Math Proficiency Test. (This role will require day, evening, and weekend work.)
 
Duties and Responsibilities
 
  • Invigilate tests and exams, both virtually and in-person, when required, ensuring the academic integrity of the tests / exams.
  • Provide Test Centre office support, which may include reviewing testing bookings, room allocations, preparing testing spaces, verifying test-taker identification, distribution and collection of tests / exams, occasional routine marking, and scheduling tests.
  • Provide student accommodation supports as required during proctored tests/exams.
  • Liaise with the Test Center Coordinator, Staff, Manager, MPT Project Manager, and other internal and external stakeholders and clients regarding testing and sessions.
  • Review and update grade testing information; enter grades into various databases as required; prepare completed tests for delivery.
 
Qualifications
 
  • Minimum of one-year postsecondary certificate. (A copy of educational documents must be submitted with application *** education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES or ICAS with their application)
  • One year of office experience with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Bilingual in both official languages, English and French.
  • Technical proficiency to invigilate using web-conferencing tools, as well as in person invigilation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. 
  • Must be self-directed and highly motivated with the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

  • Experience within a postsecondary environment.
  • Proctor or invigilator experience.
  • Experience using scheduling software.
  • Experience working with persons requiring accommodations.
