Responsibilities
 
• Provide second tier quality technical support to Joy Global customers upon request from the Joy Global sales region service teams.
• Develop the technical competencies of the customer and internal technical personnel including operations and field service personnel.
• Ensure customers are provided with technical data as needed to support the troubleshooting/repair/maintenance of both new and rebuilt equipment.
• Assist Engineering, Sales and Product Management teams in development of customer specifications when preparing specific machine proposals.
• Assist in creation of capital equipment product priority parts listings. • Report any EHS concerns including product related to find safer ways for customers to work with Joy Global products.


Qualifications
 
• Technical certification or diploma in mechanical or electrical fields or trade discipline with equivalent experience.
• (7) years progressive experience at an industrial or heavy equipment manufacturing facility with a minimum of (3) years related technical consultation experience with mining equipment application.
• Demonstrated ability in key aspects of technical troubleshooting and life cycle management reporting.
• Experience and ability to work underground is required. • Knowledge of hydraulics/electrical systems and ability to read and interpret equipment schematics.
• Strong diagnostic/problem solving skills/analytical decision-making skills.
• Ability to develop and facilitate formal technical training and impart detailed information using adult learning principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy.
• Flexible, self-motivated and driven to achieve customer satisfaction goals/targets.
• Ability to travel as required, including international travel.
• Bilingual (English/French) an asset.
